"Easy on my dog’s stomach, surprisingly"
My dog usually gets loose stool whenever we try a new food, so I was expecting some issues. But with this one, he’s been totally fine, no throwing up, no weird gas, and he actually finishes the whole bowl. It’s been such a relief for us. Has anyone else had the same experience with a picky or sensitive-stomach dog?

"Always on time tbh"
The boxes always show up when they say they will, and the food is still cold when it gets here. I haven’t had to chase down an order yet, which is a big win lol.

Bottom line, it’s not a magic fix for picky eaters, but it did work better than regular dry food for my little dog. I got this hoping she’d actually be interested, and to my surprise, she ate it really well the first few days. She seemed to like the smell and even licked the bowl clean at first. After about a week though, she started leaving some behind like she does with most other foods. So I’d say it’s worth trying if your dog is picky, just don’t expect miracles.

The food itself seems fine and my dog will eat it sometimes, but there really aren’t many recipe choices. He gets bored fast, so it’s hard when there’s not much to rotate through. For what it costs, I expected more options, maybe some seasonal flavors or something. The site/app also kind of works when it wants to, which gets annoying when I’m trying to manage orders. Overall it’s not terrible, just disappointing if you have a picky dog

I do like that The Farmer’s Dog says they work with vets and nutritionists, and it definitely feels a little more legit than some random dog food brands. But i kind of blame them for not making the details clearer on the site. I wanted to see plain info about who’s actually creating the recipes and what their exact credentials are, without having to dig around or just take their word for it. My vet still told me to double-check that it was right for my dog, which made me feel like the info could be more upfront. Overall it’s not bad, I just wish they were less vague about the expert side of things.

"Easy once I got the thawing routine down"
After using it for a bit, I’ve found the food is really simple to prep as long as I remember to move a pack into the fridge ahead of time. The one time I forgot, it took longer to thaw than I expected, so that’s probably the only part that takes a little planning. Once it’s ready, though, it’s quick, clean, and doesn’t make a mess. My dog eats it without any fuss, so overall I’m happy with it

"Canceling was not a whole thing"
I had to cancel my plan because money was kind of tight, and I expected it to be annoying. But it was not really like that. Customer service got back to me fast and helped me with the refund without making it feel uncomfortable or like I did something wrong. It took a few days for the money to show up, but it did come through. I was actually relieved how simple it all ended up being

These packs stack really easily in my freezer and I still have plenty of room left for our regular food. That’s a big reason I keep buying them, because if they started taking up too much space, I’d probably look for another option.

i mean, my dog definitely liked it and the portions were really easy to deal with, which I appreciated. But for what you get, the price feels a little high. I’m not totally sure I’d keep ordering it every month.

"Way less mess at dinner now"
I’ll be honest, I was a little worried this would be messy to serve, especially compared to just scooping kibble. But to be fair, it’s been a lot easier than I expected.

The packs thaw nicely, and I just squeeze the food into his bowl. No tiny cans to rinse out, no dry crumbs getting kicked around the floor, and that alone has made dinner feel less annoying.
Cleanup is simple too. I wash the bowl like usual, and since my dog finishes every bite, I’m not stuck scraping out gross leftovers. I’d say it’s been a solid 5-star experience for us.

"I really like being able to see…"
I really like being able to see exactly what’s in my dog’s food. i blame them for making me way more picky about ingredient lists now, because it’s hard to go back once you actually know what your dog is eating.

"So far, we’re happy with it"
I’ve been using The Farmer’s Dog for a few weeks now, i’m noticing a difference. My dog’s coat looks healthier, and he doesn’t seem to be as itchy as he was before. His poops are smaller too, which is a nice bonus. It’s definitely a little pricey, yeah, but so far I feel like it’s been worth it.

"Good food, but I expected clearer feeding directions"
The food itself seems totally fine, and my pet didn’t have any issues with it. I just expected the feeding guide to be a little easier to follow. I had to reread the portion instructions a couple times, and even then I wasn’t completely confident I was measuring it right at first
